Incoloy 800HT(UNS N08811, 1.4959, 1.4876) is a full austenitic low carbon nickel-iron-chromium alloy of the same series as Incoloy 800. The cobalt content in this alloy can be strictly controlled below 0.01%. Alloy 800HT has excellent creep strength at temperatures above 1290°F (700°C). If the application involves frequent temperature excursions under 1290°F (700°C) or parts of are permanently exposed to a temperature below 1290°F (700°C), Alloy 800H should be utilized. The high temperature resistance of Alloy 800HT is comparable to Alloy 800H.
Incoloy 800HT is resistant to many corrosive media. Its high nickel content makes it resistant to stress corrosion cracking in aqueous corrosion conditions. The high chromium content provides better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. The alloy has good corrosion resistance to nitric acid and organic acids, but limited corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. Good corrosion resistance in oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts, in addition to the potential for pitting corrosion in halides. It also has good corrosion resistance in water, steam and mixtures of steam, air and carbon dioxide.
